Refilling of the Whiteboard Marker

The used whiteboard marker can be refilled with ink and used again. Technically, the refilling can be performed in different ways with various kinds of ink transfer devices.
When the whiteboard marker is refilled, the user avoids buying a new marker and the pressure on natural systems from processes in the whiteboard marker's lifecycle is reduced accordingly. 

The use of ink is almost unchanged and environmental pressure from processes in the ink's and the solvent's lifecycle is reduced only slightly. However, since disposal of used pens is reduced, less ink-remains will be be released in the disposal phase. This is advantageous, specially if the whiteboard marker is disposed in landfill.

During refilling of the whiteboard marker ethanol evaporates into the atmosphere.

Whiteboard eraser refills are also available.  Washable refills are designed to fit into the whiteboard eraser holder.
